Robertson Hall – Office of Admission
Welcome to Butler University! We're a private institution located in Indianapolis. Our tour begins at Robertson Hall, the University's welcome center. This building is home to the offices of Admission, Financial Aid, and Marketing and Communications. Hundreds of prospective students and families start their journey of becoming a Butler Bulldog right here.
And speaking of "Bulldog," Robertson is also home to Butler Blue, an English bulldog and Butler's official live mascot. When he's not out delivering surprise admission news or attending athletic events, he spends his days here welcoming campus visitors. Feel free to greet him with a belly rub—he's not shy.College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences
The College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences is the home to our Pre-Pharmacy and PharmD program as well as Nursing, Health Sciences, and Healthcare and Business majors. Butler's well-established Pharmacy program has been accredited since 1940 and offers a direct pathway option, giving students the confidence and comfort that a seat in the professional program will be available to them.
Students in the Health Sciences program are prepared for successful admission into healthcare-related graduate programs such as medicine, physician assistant, dentistry, and more. This flexible program challenges and encourages students to explore many aspects of the healthcare field. The Bachelor of Science in Nursing program offers an innovative curriculum and clinical exposure while studying in state-of-the-art simulation labs. The program also offers direct admission, meaning that once you're admitted, there is no pre-nursing coursework or additional applications.Jordan Hall - College of Liberal Arts and Sciences
Jordan Hall was built in 1928 and is one of the oldest and most historic buildings on Butler's Campus. Inside you'll find the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences—Butler's largest college—which is home to more than 50 programs from departments in the humanities, social sciences, and natural sciences as well as many interdisciplinary programs. Students in the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences conduct research, learn how to question everything, and meticulously test new theories.
The Hub for Black Affairs and Community Engagement, which serves as our campus' vibrant and connected center of Black voices in the pursuit of social and racial justice, is also located inside Jordan Hall. Other departments and services such as a peer-to-peer writers studio, study abroad offices, tutoring resources, and much more, can also be found inside.Sciences Complex
The expansion and renovation of Butler's Sciences Complex was completed in 2021 and was a $100-million investment that included high-tech classrooms that promote learning by doing, labs that mimic the setup at top research companies, and workspaces promoting cross disciplinary partnerships. Butler's many student-run media outlets are also based here, including The Butler Collegian newspaper, five fountains, a strategic communications agency with real Indiana-based clients, the BlueRoll Media production company, and Butler Sports Live, who produce more than 60 NCAA and Butler Athletics events per year.

With a focus on hands-on learning, Butler Business students have the opportunity to run their own business, manage $4 million of the University's endowment, and participate in the nation's first student-run captive insurance company. All Business students have a dedicated career mentor and graduate with two internships on their resume, ensuring they have the knowledge and skills to make an impact in the workplace right away.

Butler sophomores enjoy spacious living in Fairview House. This 633-bed facility is equipped with six and eight student units, each with a furnished living room and bedrooms, a kitchenette, and shared bathrooms with individual vanities.

Welcome to the North Mall, home to the Star Fountain. A favorite relaxation spot, it's not unusual to find students here playing frisbee, unwinding in hammocks along the tree-lined walkways, or soaking up the sun on a blanket. This is a heavily walked area of campus due to its close proximity to Irwin Library, ResCo residence hall, Atherton Union, and Jordan Hall.
Fun fact—many Butler students jump into Star Fountain (and Butler's four other fountains) as part of the "Fountain Hopping tradition."ResCo Residence and Dining Hall
Butler's ResCo Residence Hall is home to first-year students as well as four full-time, live-in faculty members. One of the biggest perks to living in ResCo is that it has its own dining hall right inside. ResCo also had a full renovation in 2022, which included design refreshes to all residence hall rooms, the dining area, study spaces, and more.
Atherton Union - Student Union
Atherton Union is the hub of student life on campus. Starbucks and the Butler Bookstore offer the perfect spot to grab a coffee in the morning, browse new Butler gear, or set up shop for a long study session. Students can choose from two dining options here. The A-Town Cafe is the main lunch and dinner spot, and features all-you-care-to-eat dining. A-Town Market provides grab-and-go options, including a salad bar and a sushi bar. All of our chapters have a deep connection to philanthropy, and together, they contribute more than 20,000 service hours to over 200 Indianapolis area nonprofits. Not sure if you want to join? At Butler, we offer deferred recruitment, which gives you the time to explore all of your options.
South Campus – College of Education
Welcome to Butler's College of Education, which consists of our Elementary Education, Middle/Secondary Education, Youth and Community Development, and Kinesiology majors. Our Elementary and Middle Secondary majors spend between 850 and 1,500 hours in the field at various schools, including the IPS/Butler Lab Schools, a partnership between Butler and Indianapolis Public Schools. This extensive classroom preparation is just one reason that for many years, 100% of our Education graduates have found a teaching position or entered a graduate program within just six months of graduation. Kinesiology majors can choose from concentrations in Applied Human Performance or Pre-Professional, depending on their career aspirations. They also have access to hands-on learning through internships and work within the on-campus Human Performance Lab.

Butler University fields 20 athletic sports teams and is a part of the BIG EAST Conference. You could be a part of it all.
West Campus and The Farm at Butler
Across the canal from Butler's main campus is West Campus. Here, you'll find our campus farm, run by our Office of Sustainability. Students help run the farm, which generates fresh produce in the spring and summer. The intramural fields are also located in West Campus. This is where Butler's many intramural and some club sports teams play. Sports are pretty popular around here, but if you're not an athlete, there are more than 200 other student organizations to join. And if you don't find the organization you're looking for, you can start your own.
